Note: trends indicate the JIF may not be the leading indicator for journal selection and articles will and are being amplified on their own merits. This is why BHTY is highly active across social media and provides authors with engagement measurements other that the JIF. We believe authors seek fair and bibliodiverse environments where their work is disseminated and amplified across relevant scientific, public and not-for-profit ecosystems and audiences around the globe.

Be assured, BHTY is working hard to meet this industry preference, however, trends indicate the JIF may not be the leading indicator for journal selection and articles will and are being amplified on their own merits. In the meantime, you can write Clarivate and tell them you want BHTY included in the WoS. Thanks!

Journals usually ask reviewers to complete their reviews within 3-4 weeks. However, few journals have a mechanism to enforce the deadline, which is why it can be hard to predict how long the peer review process will take. Highly technical papers and papers from niche subject areas can take longer to review.
Manuscripts are sent out for review electronically, and all correspondence takes place via e-mail.
Authors are given up to three weeks to make changes/revisions to the manuscript once peer reviewed. Should they need more time, authors are required to contact the Managing Editor, via email, with an explanation.
Note: BHTY maintains high editorial review standards reflected by acceptance in leading indexes. Author revisions add days to turnaround, acceptance, and publication timeframes. Journal staff is happy to streamline papers for authors requiring fast turnaround. There is no extra charge.
