Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • I, the submitting author, warrant that I am authorized by all co-authors to submit this version of the manuscript and to be their spokesperson during the review process and beyond.
  • I, the submitting author, warrant that any interests that might impair the credibility of the manuscript are disclosed in the financial and non-financial relationships and activities form, which is included and uploaded separately (as a supplementary file) to not compromise blind review. I have used the ICMJE Disclosure Form located on https://www.icmje.org/disclosure-of-interest/
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice or Microsoft Word document file format and BHTY Manuscript Preparation has been followed.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines. References are in the Vancouver style.

Author Guidelines

1. Please be sure to follow Manuscript Preparation informaion. Review details at https://blockchainhealthcaretoday.com/index.php/journal/authors-submission

For authors submissions from PeerRef or for those that prefer Transparent Peer Review, Please ADD this in your COVER LETTER

Be sure to include all details required for Supporting Documentation which facilitates blinded reviews and, if accepted, production galleys.

2. Please be sure to review Information for Authors & Editorial Policies at https://blockchainhealthcaretoday.com/index.php/journal/authors

3. The Submission Preparation Checklist is located at https://blockchainhealthcaretoday.com/index.php/journal/about/submissions

BHTY requires documents be uploaded on the submission portal of BOTH blinded manuscript and Supporting Documentation in OpenOffice or Microsoft Word file format.

Text should be single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

Submission is simple and if all is in order,  the corresponding author can quickly check off each checklist requirement and proceed to upload documents.

PAPERS WILL BE REJECTED IF NOT FORMATTED PROPERLY. References must be in the Vancouver style. For details visit https://www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/uniform_requirements.html

We are here to help. Please contact the managing editor at

Please also note the following

BHTY’s Article Processing Charge (APC) for the international specialty journal is $1150.00 USD for original research articles, $1450.00 USD for Special Reports (15,000 words and upwards of 100 references), and $650.00 USD for students currently enrolled at an academic institution. Please plan accordingly. THERE IS NO FEE FOR EDITORIALS, OPINION, OR BLOGS.

For articles submitted that are accepted from PeerRef, authors of refereed preprints will receive a 10% waiver on the journal's APC.

If changes are required and requested by the author(s) post publication, a flat $350.00 USD fee will be invoiced for revision(s).

Where an Editorial Board Member is author they must declare this in the Financial and Non-Financial Relationships and Activities (Conflicts) section on the submitted manuscript.

BHTY is pleased to offer authors the option of paying their APC with digital currency. Contact the publisher for more information if you would like to use this payment method at t.cenaj@partnersindigitalhealth.com

  • White papers, previously published articles, perspectives, opinions, advertorials, and press releases will be rejected
  • Abstracts are important for data aggregators and facilitate exposure to articles published – be sure your paper has an abstract. Check the following links for more information: CONSORT or PRISMA

Waiver Policy

BHTY has a waiver policy for authors from lower-middle income countries as per the World Bank (click here for details). We give fair consideration to all submissions, and believe this should not be linked to the ability to pay. Where limited funding is available to authors, BHTY can provide a complete or partial waiver to authors on request, AFTER, an article is accepted. We review papers based strictly on MERIT. The quality and contribution it makes to the sector supersedes the APC. We believe this is paramount for fair and open exchange.

Thank you,
